A friend of mine, Ethan, was reading my blog. He is one of the guys I’m helping out by giving them some training at the moment. He’s 16, and he’s a black belt in my dojo, but hasn’t done a whole lot of other training.He was impressed with my writing, and the photos I post. He said my “posts are quality” haha.He mentioned he’d like to know how to look like I do. Funny, because I know I have a lot of work to do. Still, I mentioned I’d come a long way since I very first joined a gym in 2009. I didn’t really know what I was doing, and didn’t until this year really, but I sought out a picture to show him for a comparison.This is me in 2009. Oh how so much changes. Pretty sure I’m wearing girls jeans there. Gotta love seeing your previous self.

Pull up progress

Yesterday I did 5 wide grip pull up and then 5 shoulder width(standard) grip pull ups without dropping from the bar. Today I did 10 standard grip pull ups in one set. I’ve never done more than 9 before this, and even when I did those 9 the last two weren’t all the way. I reached double digit pull ups :) Feels good!

Not really any notable change, but that’s expected. Filling out in my lower core a little, and filling up in my obliques a bit. Good!
