Love isn’t a word, a phrase, or a sentence. It isn’t even a report or an essay.
No number of words can fully explain what love is.
Love is, however, something that is worth trying to describe. That attempt in itself will lead you to new ideas about this phenomenon.
Love isn’t somewhere you can reach and stay there, it isn’t something you can find and hold onto, and it isn’t something you can divide amoung many.
Love is a way of living, a way of continuing on your path in life with another at your side, with a mutual respect for the direction they want to take. Love is a merging of two paths, two journeys becoming a journey together.
Love is not built on need. It isn’t about how another gives you the ability to live. Money, status, abilities, none of these can contribute to true love.
Love isn’t about convenience. You don’t fall in love with someone because their path is already heading in the same direction as you. You don’t simply fall in love with someone because they live close to you. How easy it is to be with someone should not be a part of true love.
Love can be attacked, and if it is true it will be protected.
Love can be tested, and if it is true it will pass.
True love cannot be destroyed, only temporarily broken while lessons are learnt to protect it in the future.
Love does not need to make sense. You don’t need to understand why you are in love with someone, that is the beauty of it.
Love is natural, neither party forces it.
Being in love is the most incredible feeling,
Fighting for love is the only true acceptable fight,
And two people in love is the most beautiful thing.
So if you are in love, enjoy it, and if you don’t understand it, don’t worry, because no one really does.
